Young, Old Actors Tell the Tale of “The Wiz of the West”

For the third annual year, Westpark Village has partnered with the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) to produce an intergenerational play. This year’s play, “The Wiz of the West,” will take place on Fri., April 28 at 7 p.m. and Sat., April 29 at 2:00 p.m at Westpark Village. Casting for “The Wiz of the West” include students from the community and seniors residents from Westpark Village to create a truly multi-generational performance group of ages six and older.

“We are excited to join forces with Missoula Children’s Theatre for this special event,” said Tina Vauthier, executive director of Westpark Village. “We see that both generations benefit from the interaction, and the children develop confidence, skills and self-esteem, as well as meaningful relationships with our residents.”

Ages Entwined™ at Westpark Village develops activities and programs that help bring generations together to create meaningful interactions and provide an opportunity for sharing wisdom, mentoring and socializing.
